Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research (ECSSR) (UAE)
The ECSSR exists is to conduct studies and research on topics relevant to the national security and economic and social well-being of the UAE and the Gulf region, to facilitate the scholarly exchange of ideas and provide community services through the convening of symposia and conferences on topics related to the research agenda of the Center, and actively to assist and promote the professional development of UAE nationals through training programmes.
European University Center for Peace Studies (Au)
Affiliated to the Austrian Study Center for Peace and Conflict Resolution, the EPU is an international, non-governmental organisation with UNESCO status. Among its primary goals are spreading the idea of peace in the spirit of the UNESCO; giving scientific and educational support to peace building in Europe as inspired by the OSCE process; promoting a "world domestic policy" based on sustainable development, cooperative responsibility and ecological security; contributing to the development of a global peace culture; and training and improving individual capabilities in peace-making and conflict resolution.
